As you may have heard, Mastodon is in the shoe business. Mastodon have teamed up with their favorite active lifestyle company, Vans, to create four distinctive shoe styles featuring Paul Romano’s artwork from their Blood Mountain album. The Vans X Mastodon “Blood Mountain” will be available this summer.

Nike 6.0 and Canadian metal band, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, have joined forces resulting in the darkest 6.0 shoe collab to date, the Blood Oncore High. The band chose Nike 6.0’s new Zoom Oncore High to translate their soundtrack of mayhem.

Luxe, DVS premium collection, presents a limited edition collaboration with Ray-Ban. The chosen models were Luxe’s “Standard Lo” and Ray-Ban’s classic “Wayfarer”. Combining black and brown colors, the Ray-Ban’s feature a custom interior frame that will match the Standard lo footbed. The sneakers feature a premium leather upper mixed with mesh and a viva suede sockliner.
MADE FOR SKATE: The Illustrated History of Skateboard Footwear, is the name of the book that will be released in January 2009 telling the exclusive stories behind many of the shoes that carried skateboarding throught its colourful history. Nike SB teamed up with MADE FOR SKATE to celebrate the launch of the book, and togehter they will present an extensive exhibition including rare and special pieces of skateboard footwear and their backgroung stories.
Converse and Barneys joined forces to create a perforated premium leather Chuck Taylor version. These sneakers come in white, black/gold and red colorways and feature a clean look.

Alife just launched a new version of the Everybody Mid. The new version is called the The Everybody Mid Pro Purple Pack and comes in three colorways, black, grey and tan. Recently Nike Sportswear dropped the official word on the release of the KAWS/OriginalFake x Nike Air Max Series, now OriginalFake previews the OriginalFake x Nike Sportswear items. It looks that T-shirts and hoodies will be part of the pack, but more details will probably be released soon.
Lacoste keeps bringing some freshness with the release of a waterproof pack of they’re Revan 3 model. These kicks come with premium leather and nubuck uppers combined with a Sympatex lined tongue to protect your feet from the rainy days, and a color combination of black and emerald green. With the upcoming winter months, these could be a good choice. Within the next couple of weeks, the Revan 3 WP will be available at Size? UK and select Lacoste dealers worldwide.

Craig Stecyk and Lance Mountain teamed up to create their first Blazers with Nike SB. Scheduled to be release in October 08, this Blazers feature an all suede upper with a vibrant orange colour combined with a slightly off-colour midsole and laces and graphics inspired from the board Lance Mountain used in the bones Brigade Future Primitive video. To celebrate the release, Nike SB is giving away a promotional book, Roadsigns. The book contains photos of Craig and Lance taken in LA and Salton Sea, California, and also includes art and words from the pair, as well as an introduction by Kevin Imamura.
Vans opens the first store in China. The store is located in Changle Road, a popular shopping district for youth and street culture in Shanghai. Inspired by Southern California’s surf and skate lifestyle the store design evolved from Vans’ heritage utilizing the wood, concrete, and steel evoking raw beauty, both natural and urban.
